Brightwell and Rosen Finish 14th at Collegiate Team Championship

Powell, Ohio – Virginia women’s golfers Elizabeth Brightwell and Portland Rosen combined to tie for 14th place at the third annual Pure Silk Women’s Collegiate Team Championships. The Cavalier tandem finished at 10-over 298. The tournament was held at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, Ohio.

The tournament featured teams from all levels of collegiate golf including Division I, II and III programs. The format featured a mixture of best ball, alternate shot and aggregate score play.

During the first round, using an alternate shot format, the UVa players shot 5-over 77. The second round featured best ball play and Brightwell and Rosen posted a score of 67. Thursday’s final round was team stroke play and the duo shot 154.

The Tennessee team of Erica Popson and A.J. Newell took the title at 2under 286.
