Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia Sports Properties, the multi-media rights holder for Virginia athletics, announced today the addition of Supersports 101.7 FM, WWBU in Blacksburg to its lineup of network affiliates.

The station will air Virginia football games and broadcast the weekly Cavalier Coaches shows produced by Virginia Sports Properties.

Supersports 101.7 includes the local sports talk show “The Clubhouse” with Kyle Bailey airing weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m. WWBU is owned by Cumulus Licensing LLC and previously carried UVA sports programming in 2005 and 2006.

“We are very excited to renew our partnership with the University of Virginia and once again broadcast University of Virginia Cavalier Football on the region’s only FM sports station, Supersports 101.7,” said Cindy Rollison, Vice President and Market Manager for Cumulus Media in the New River Valley.

“We are excited to have Supersports 101.7 FM join the Virginia Sports Radio Network,” said Dave Koehn, Director of Broadcasting and Voice of the Cavaliers. “Kyle Bailey’s show has a strong following and we are looking forward to putting our programming onto an all-sports station in the New River Valley.”
