Complete 2012 Preseason ESPN.com All-America Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia senior offensive tackle Oday Aboushi is one of 25 players named today to ESPN.com’s preseason All-America team. The team selected 11 players on offense, 11 players on defense, a placekicker, punter and kick returner. Aboushi is one of three players from the ACC on the list, joining offensive guard Jonathan Cooper from North Carolina and cornerback David Amerson from NC State.

Aboushi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has started the last 25 games for the Cavaliers and was an All-ACC second-team performer in 2011, becoming the first UVa offensive tackle since Eugene Monroe (2008) to make the all-league squad. The senior captain enters 2012 also as a preseason All-American courtesy of Athlon Sports. Aboushi is also on the Outland Trophy, Lombardi Award and Senior Bowl watch lists.

Aboushi and the Cavaliers open up the 2012 season on Saturday when the Richmond Spiders invade Scott Stadium. The contest will kick off at 3 p.m. and will be televised by the ACC Regional Networks, including Comcast SportsNet in the Charlottesville area.
