Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team returns to the site of the 2012 NCAA Championships when the Cavaliers compete at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn. at the par-72, 6,312-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course. The 54-hole event runs Friday through Sunday.

UVa placed fourth at last year’s NCAAs held at the Legends Club and will field a lineup at the Mason Rudolph Championship that includes four of the five players who competed in that tournament.

That group includes All-Americans Brittany Altomare and Portland Rosen, Elizabeth Brightwell and Briana Mao. Rounding out the lineup is Kaira Martin. Freshman Alexandra Hershberger makes her collegiate debut, competing as a non-scoring individual.

The field for this year’s tournament includes the host Commodores, Arizona, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Memphis, North Carolina, Oregon, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Tulane, Chattanooga and Wake Forest The teams will use fixed tee times starting at 8 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Cavaliers will be paired with Georgia and Arizona for Friday’s first round. They will start play from the No. 1 tee starting at 8:45 a.m. CT.
