Franklin, Tenn. – The 17th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team moved into a tie for third place following the second round of play at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. The Cavaliers shot 7-over 295 Saturday for a two-day total of 19-over 595.

Arizona leads the field at 8-over 584 followed by Texas at 589. Texas A&M is tied with the Cavaliers at 595 and Michigan State is fifth at 596.

Brittany Altomare and Elizabeth Brightwell both shot 2-under 70 during the second round to lead UVa. Altomare moved up to 11th place at 3-over 147 while Brightwell is in 14th place at 4-over 148.

Portland Rosen is tied with teammate Briana Mao in 28th place at 8-over 152. Mao led the field after the first round when she shot 1-under 71. She carded an 81 Saturday. Rosen shot 78 in the second round. Kaira Martin is in 47th place at 156. She shot 77 Saturday. Alexandra Hershberger, who is playing as a non-scoring individual, shot 80 and moved up to 70th at 162.
