UVa Men's Golfers Remain in 13th Place at Mason Rudolph

Franklin, Tenn. – After 36 holes of play the Virginia men’s golf team is in 13th place at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. The Cavaliers stand at 26-over 594 after posting a second-round score of 14-over 298. Vanderbilt leads the event at 4-under 564.
Sophomore Denny McCarthy, who led the tournament after the opening round, continues to top Virginia. He shot 3-over 75 but dropped back to 11th place at even par 142. David Pastore is in 42nd place at 148 after shooting 4-over 76 in the second round.
Ji Soo Park had UVa’s best second round score, posting a 2-over 73. He is in 62nd place at 151. Gregor Orlando shot 74 and is 70th at 153. Kyle Kochevar is 84th at 163 after a second round 77, a nine-shot improvement over his opening round effort.
Oklahoma’s Abraham Ancer leads in the race for medalist honors at 7-under 135.
