FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. – The Virginia men’s tennis team will have four singles participants in the 2012 USTA/ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, held next week at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. With four of the 32 singles participants, the Cavaliers have double the number of players in the event than any other school.

Junior Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) qualified for the tournament as the champion of the fall’s first major tournament, the ITA All-American. First-year Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) also qualified through his performance at the ITA All-American, where he reached the quarterfinals. First-year Harrison Richmond (Pawleys Island, S.C.) qualified as the ITA Atlantic Regional champion, while senior Jarmere Jenkins (College Park, Ga.) received a wild card selection from the USTA.

In doubles, the Cavaliers have a pair of teams in the 16-team field. The duo of Jenkins and Styslinger qualified as the runner-up of the ITA All-American, while the team of Domijan and Richmond received a USTA wild card.

Play begins Thursday, Nov. 8 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 11 at the home of the U.S. Open.
