Charlottesville, Va. – The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced the opponents each league’s football team will face during the 2013 season. The specific dates for the games will be announced by the ACC in February.

The 2013 season is the first year the ACC will feature Pittsburgh and Syracuse as conference members.

The Cavaliers will play ACC home games against Clemson (11-2), Duke (6-7), Georgia Tech (7-7) and Virginia Tech (7-6).

Virginia will travel to conference games at Maryland (4-8), Miami (7-5), North Carolina (8-4) and Pittsburgh (6-7).

Five of the Cavaliers’ eight 2013 ACC opponents participated in bowls during the 2012 season. Duke played in the Belk Bowl, Georgia Tech won the Hyundai Sun Bowl, Virginia Tech won the Russell Athletic Bowl, Clemson won the Chick-fil-A Bowl and Pittsburgh played in the BBVA Compass Bowl.

Some kickoff times for early-season games will be announced by the ACC in May. All other kickoff times will be announced during the season, using either a 12- or 6-day advance window selection.

The 2013 ACC Championship game is set for Saturday, Dec. 7 in Charlotte.
