DALLAS, Texas – Three members of the Virginia men’s tennis team advanced with first round wins during the first day of qualifying Saturday at the Challenger of Dallas, a $100,000 event on the USTA Pro Circuit. Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), Jarmere Jenkins (College Park, Ga.) and Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) will all continue in qualifying on Sunday.

Jenkins posted a 6-2, 6-7(0), 7-6(5) win over No. 6 seed Devin Britton. Britton, currently ranked No. 379 in the world, was the 2009 NCAA Singles Champion at Ole Miss. He will play former Harvard standout Sasha Ermakov in the second round.

Styslinger cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win over wild card entry Neil Kenner. He will meet third-seeded Chase Buchanan, a 2012 All-American at Ohio State who is currently ranked No. 362 in the world.

Domijan topped wild card Rafael Valdez 6-3, 6-2. He meets No. 4 seed Tim Puetz, a former Auburn All-American ranked No. 363 in the world, in the second round.
