GREENSBORO, N.C.–Updates from the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will be posted below, with the most recent event first.

Day Four – Saturday, Feb. 23

400 Free Relay

The team of Rachel Naurath, Emily Lloyd, Ellen Williamson and Lauren Perdue finished third in a time of 3:16.94

200 Fly

Sophomore Alison Haulsee finished fifth in the 200 fly in 1:57.38, while classmate Shaun Casey was sixth in 1:57.41.

In the consolation final, freshman Rachel Moore was second in 1:57.92, while sophomore Sarah White was third in 1:58.45. Moore’s time ranks eighth on UVa’s all-time list.

In the 200 breast final, freshman Natalie Martin placed eighth in a time of 2:15.72.

Senior Lauren Perdue claimed silver in the 100 free in 48.45, while junior Emily Lloyd was sixth in 49.26.

200 Back

Freshman Courtney Bartholomew swept the backstroke discipline, winning the 200 back in 1:53.13, while sophomore Ellen Williamson earned silver in 1:54.08. Bartholomew won the 100 back Friday night.

Juniors Caroline Kenney (1:57.27) and Charlotte Clarke (1:59.17), placed seventh and eighth, respectively.

In the consolation final, sophomore Emily Dicus placed first in 1:55.57, the eighth-fastest mark on UVa’s all-time list.

Sophomore Kelly Offutt won her second individual event of the meet, claiming the 1,650 free in a time of 16:08.65, the sixth-fastest time in school history. Junior Rachel Naurath earned silver in 16:12.55, while sophomore Alison Haulsee was fourth in 16:15.43.

Freshman Hanne Borgersen touched fifth in 16:18.18, while classmate Haley Durmer was seventh in 16:32.39. Junior Hillary Petersen placed 12th in 16:40.14.

Men’s Platform Diving Prelims

Sophomore JB Kolod had the second-best list in school history, scoring 350.90 points, good enough to finish fifth and qualify for finals. Freshman Carl Buergler placed ninth for the second time this meet with a score of 317.1, the fourth-best mark in UVa history.

Women’s Platform Diving

Freshmen Becca Corbett (237.35) finished 10th and Katie Warburg (173.55) placed 18th.

In heat two, sophomore Sarah White was third in 1:57.84, while freshman Rachel Moore was fourth in 1:59.14. In the following heat, sophomore Alison Haulsee touched first in 1:55.91, the fourth-fastest mark on UVa’s all-time list, and classmate Shaun Casey was second in 1:57.06.

Tonight: Haulsee will be the top seed and be joined by Casey in the championship final. White and Moore will compete in the consolation final.

Freshman Natalie Martin placed fourth in heat three in a time of 2:15.47, the eighth-fastest time on UVa’s all-time lists.

Senior Lauren Perdue won heat five in a time of 49.09. Junior Emily Lloyd finished second in heat seven in 49.19.

Tonight: Perdue and Lloyd will be seeded second and third in the 100 free championship final.

Perdue will look to win the 100 free for the fourth consecutive year and become the third female Cavalier to win an event four times. Brielle White (100 back, 2003-06) and Mirgana Bosevska (400 IM, 2000-03) are other two.

Sophomore Emily Dicus won the first heat in 1:57.93. In the second heat, junior Caroline Kenney captured the second heat in 1:53.97, the fifth-fastest time on UVa’s all-time list, while sophomore Ellen Williamson was second in 1:56.05.

In the third heat, junior Charlotte Clarke finished second in a season-best time of 1:56.57, while freshman Courtney Bartholomew won heat four in 1:54.75.

Tonight: Kenney and Bartholomew will be the top two seeds in the championship final and will be joined by Williamson and Clarke. Dicus will swim in the consolation final.

Day Three – Friday, Feb. 22

100 Back
ACC Championship Record: 51.75

Freshman Courtney Bartholomew captured gold in the 100 back in 52.25. Last year’s champion in the 100 back, junior Charlotte Clarke, was sixth in 53.82, while sophomore Emily Dicus was eighth in 54.52.

Freshman Rachel Moore placed sixth in the consolation final in 54.63.

200 Free

Senior Lauren Perdue won her third ACC title in the 200 free in a time of 1:43.88. She becomes the second Cavalier, joining Cara Lane, to win two individual events three times. Perdue is the three-time defending champion in the 100 free and will look to win it for a fourth time tomorrow. She won the 200 in 2010 and 2011, but did not compete in the event last year due to a back injury.

Junior Rachel Naurath claimed bronze in 1:45.74, while sophomore Kelly Offutt was eighth in 1:47.57.

Junior Caroline Kenney won the consolation final of the 200 free in a time of 1:47.12, while freshman Hanne Borgersen and junior Emily Lloyd placed third and fourth in 1:47.66 and 1:47.69. All three times were career-best marks.

100 Fly

Sophomore Ellen Williamson took home bronze in a time of 52.97, matching her career-best mark. Classmates Emily Dicus and Sarah White placed sixth and eighth in 53.59 and 54.22, respectively.

Freshman Rachel Moore won the consolation final to finish ninth overall in a time of 54.00, the 10th-best mark on UVa’s all-time list.

400 IM

Sophomore Shaun Casey earned silver in the 400 IM in a time of 4:10.71, while freshman Haley Durmer placed fourth in 4:15.10 and junior Hillary Petersen was seventh in 4:18.52.

Men’s 3m Diving

Sophomore JB Kolod finished third and broke the school record with a score of 424.85.

400 Medley Relay

To start the evening, the 400 medley relay team of freshmen Courtney Bartholomew and Natalie Martin, sophomore Ellen Williamson and senior Lauren Perdue touched second in 3:35.58, just missing an NCAA ‘A’ cut.

Women’s 1m Diving

Freshmen Katie Warburg and Becca Corbett placed 13th and 17th with a total of 269.95 and 248.40, respectively.

Men’s 3m Diving

Sophomore JB Kolod qualified for the finals with a score of 378.05, while freshman Carl Buergler placed ninth in 341.35. Check out photos from the prelims here.

Sophomore Emily Dicus (53.57) and freshman Rachel Moore (54.39) placed second and third in heat two. Dicus’ time is seventh on UVa’s all-time list. Junior Charlotte Clarke was second in heat three in 53.47, while freshman Courtney Bartholomew posted a 52.25, the top qualifying time and 0.03 faster than her previous season-best mark. That mark ranks second on UVa’s all-time list.

Tonight: Bartholomew (top seed), Clarke and Dicus will be in the championship final, while Moore will be in the consolation final.

100 Breast

Freshman Natalie Martin finishes seventh in heat two in 1:03.46, just off her season-best time of 1:03.40, which she set at last week’s Cavalier Invite.

Junior Rachel Naurath (1:46.83), sophomore Kelly Offutt (1:47.18) and junior Caroline Kenney (1:47.61) went 2-3-4 in heat four. Offutt’s time is eighth on UVa’s all-time list.

In heat six, senior Lauren Perdue won in a time of 1:45.90, while junior Emily Lloyd was third in 1:48.09 and freshman Hanne Borgersen was fourth in 1:48.57.

Tonight: Perdue, Naurath and Offutt in to championship final, with Perdue being the top seed. Kenney, Lloyd and Borgersen will swim in the consolation final.

Sophomores Ellen Williamson (53.14) and Emily Dicus (53.47) and freshman Rachel Moore (54.18) swept heat two. Sophomore Sarah White placed third in heat four in 53.49. Dicus’ time is fifth on UVa’s all-time list, while White’s is sixth.

Tonight: Williamson, Dicus and White are all into the championship final, while Moore is in the consolation final.

Junior Hillary Petersen placed third in heat one in 4:18.48. Sophomore Shaun Casey continues her strong meet, winning her heat in 4:09.55, the third-fastest mark in school history. Her previous best mark was 4:13.40 at Georgia Fall Invite earlier this year. Freshman Haley Durmer posted the 10th-best time on UVa’s all-time list in 4:14.37, finishing second in heat three.

Tonight: Casey, Durmer and Petersen will all be in the championship final.

Sophomore Ellen Williamson lead the Cavaliers to a 1-2-3-4 finish, posting the second-fastest time in UVa history in 1:57.00. Classmate Shaun Casey was second in 1:57.56, the fourth-fastest mark on the UVa all-time list, while fellow sophomore Sarah White was third in 1:58.03. Freshmen Haley Durmer (1:58.16) and Courtney Bartholomew (1:58.51) touched fourth and sixth, respectively.

White was the defending champ in the event and the Cavaliers have won the 200 IM five out of the last six years.

Sophomore Kelly Offutt became the first Cavalier to win the 500 free ACC title since 2004, winning in a time of 4:39.05, 0.37 faster than her prelim swim. Junior Rachel Naurath and sophomore Alison Haulsee completed the sweep, finishing second and third in 4:41.66 and 4:41.81, respectively. Freshman Hanne Borgersen placed fifth in 4:43.76 and junior Hillary Petersen was eighth in 4:49.37. Haulsee’s time was the sixth-best mark on UVa’s all-time list, while Borgersen’s time is 10th.

Junior Caroline Kenney finished first in the consolation final in a time of 4:46.35.

Women’s 3-meter finals and Men’s 1-meter finals

Sophomore JB Kolod was fourth in the men’s 1-meter finals with a score of 356.10, while freshman Becca Corbett was eighth in the women’s 3-meter finals with a score of 270.80.

The 200 free relay of senior Lauren Perdue, juniors Rachel Naurath and Emily Lloyd and sophomore Emily Dicus placed fourth in a time of 1:29.82, just .02 shy of an NCAA ‘A’ cut. That time is the fourth-fastest mark in school history.

Men’s 1-meter diving prelims

Sophomore JB Kolod qualified for the finals with a score of 356.10. He will be seeded fourth. Freshman Carl Buergler placed 12th with a total of 307.55, picking up some valuable points for the men.

Women’s 3-meter diving prelims

Freshman Becca Corbett qualified for the finals with an eighth-place finish and scores of 289.40. Classmate Katie Warburg placed 17th, just out of scoring, with a total of 259.95 points.

Sophomore Ellen Williamson just beat classmate Sarah White‘s time with a mark of 1:57.46, the second-fastest mark in school history. Freshman Haley Durmer was second in heat six with a time of 1:57.98 and freshman Courtney Bartholomew was third in 1:59.54. Durmer’s time ranks eighth on the all-time UVa list.

Classmate Shaun Casey touched first in heat five in 1:57.72, the fifth-fastest mark on UVa’s all-time list

Junior Charlotte Clarke placed second in heat three in 2:03.95. White followed by winning heat four in a time of 1:57.49, the third-fastest mark in school history.

Tonight: Williamson, White, Casey and Durmer will be top four seeds in championship final and will be joined by Bartholomew. Clarke will swim in bonus final.

Junior Rachel Naurath cruised to a heat five win in 4:42.71, while classmate Caroline Kenney was third in 4:47.33.

In heat four, sophomore Kelly Offutt led a Cavalier sweep in a time of 4:39.42, the third-fastest mark on UVa’s all-time list. Sophomore Alison Haulsee was second in 4:42.38, while freshman Hanne Borgersen was third in 4:46.95.

Junior Hillary Petersen finished third in heat three in a time of 4:46.20, a career-best time and an NCAA B-cut time.

Tonight: Offutt, Haulsee and Naurath will be top three seeds for 500 free final, with Borgersen and Petersen joining them in the championship final. Kenney will compete in consolation final.
