CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The schedule for the Virginia-Maryland baseball series at Davenport Field has been altered because of field conditions following the snowstorm earlier this week. The series is now scheduled to begin with a doubleheader on Saturday (March 9). The earliest the first game of the doubleheader will begin is 1 p.m. on Saturday. The start time for Saturday’s doubleheader will be finalized on Friday afternoon (March 8) after further review of the field conditions.

The teams are scheduled to play the series finale at 12:30 p.m. Sunday as originally planned.

Tickets for Friday’s game will be accepted for game two of Saturday’s doubleheader. Fans with tickets for the Friday game that cannot attend the second game on Saturday may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

Tickets are on sale at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office. Customers may purchase tickets online at VirginiaSports.com, calling (800) 542-UVA1 or by visiting the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Davenport Field ticket windows beginning two hours prior to each home game.

Live audio will be available for all three games on VirginiaSports.com with a subscription to Cavaliers Live. Live statistics (GameTracker) also will be available for each contest via VirginiaSports.com.
