CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia-Maryland baseball doubleheader will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday (March 9) at Davenport Field. The start time was determined following an evaluation of field conditions this afternoon.

Crews continue to work on the field to prepare it for play Saturday. If additional time changes are necessary, they will be announced online at VirginiaSports.com.

The teams are scheduled to play the 12:30 p.m. Sunday game as originally scheduled.

Tickets for Friday’s game will be accepted for game two of Saturday’s doubleheader. Fans with tickets for the Friday game that cannot attend the second game on Saturday may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

Fans with tickets for the original Saturday game who cannot attend may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

Parking will be available Saturday in the University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena lots.

Tickets for Virginia home baseball games may be purchased online at VirginiaSports.com, by calling (800) 542-8821 or by visiting the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Davenport Field ticket windows beginning two hours prior to each home game.

Live audio will be available for all three games on VirginiaSports.com with a subscription to Cavaliers Live. Live statistics (GameTracker) also will be available for each contest via VirginiaSports.com.
