CHARLOTTESVILLE – The top-ranked Virginia men’s tennis team will return to action this week as it will play four road matches on a spring break trip to Texas and Illinois. The Cavaliers will visit Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas and Illinois over a seven-day stretch to conclude the non-conference schedule.

The Cavaliers are 7-0 this season, including three wins over top-five opponents. Virginia has six players currently ranked in the ITA Singles Rankings, including No. 1 Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), No. 3 Jarmere Jenkins (College Park, Ga.) and No. 8 Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.). The duo of Jenkins and Styslinger are No. 2 in the ITA Doubles Rankings.

Virginia opens its trip at No. 38 Baylor on Monday. The Bears are 10-2 this season, but will likely move up the rankings next week after they upset No. 5 Kentucky last week.

The trip continues Wednesday with a visit to No. 14 Texas A&M. The Aggies are 11-5 overall this season, including a 3-1 mark in their debut season in the SEC.

The Cavaliers conclude their trek through the Lone Star State on Friday as they visit No. 21 Texas in a match that will be televised on the Longhorn Network. The Longhorns are 9-4 this season, including a 4-0 home record.

The trip concludes on Mar. 17 with a visit to No. 13 Illinois, who will host this season’s NCAA Championships. The Fighting Illini are 7-4 this season.
