Virginia Earns No. 4 Seed in ACC Tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Virginia men’s basketball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 2013 ACC Tournament, scheduled for March 14-17 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

The Cavaliers earned a first round bye and will open play with a quarterfinal game against either No. 5 seed NC State or No. 12 seed Virginia Tech on Friday.

Virginia’s quarterfinal game begins at 2 p.m. and will be televised on the ACC Network and ESPN2.

The Cavaliers (21-10) finished in a fourth-place tie with NC State at 11-7 in ACC play. Virginia defeated NC State, 58-55, in the only regular season meeting to win the tiebreaker and earn the No. 4 seed.
