CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – This weekend (March 23-24), the Virginia field hockey team will compete in the second of three spring tournaments on its offseason training schedule, heading to Durham, N.C. to take part in the Duke Spring Play Days tournament.

Six teams including North Carolina, Wake Forest, Davidson, Appalachian State, American and host-team Duke will join the Cavaliers in the weekend event.

Saturday’s competition will be a classic round robin format, consisting of multiple thirty minutes games where each participating team will have the opportunity to compete against all other teams at least once throughout the day.Sunday’s structure will continue with the round robin format in the morning and then shift into a championship bracket where teams will earn a seed based on their morning performance.

The entire two-day event is free and open to the public.
