Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia football coach Mike London announced today that two of the Cavaliers’ spring football practices will be open to the public. The open practices are scheduled for Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, March 30, at Scott Stadium and will begin at 12:15 p.m.

Fans attending the open practices can park for free in the West Lot of Scott Stadium and enter through the West Gate. Gates will open at 11:45 a.m. for both practices.

Virginia will play its annual Orange-Blue spring football scrimmage at Scott Stadium on Saturday, April 6. Gates will open at 11 a.m. with on-field activities available for fans starting at 11:30 a.m. The Orange-Blue spring football scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m.

Virginia fans will have an opportunity to view and walk-through the football practice fields, including the new George Welsh Indoor Practice Facility, on Saturday, March 30 from 2-5 p.m.

“I’m really excited about having the George Welsh Indoor Practice Facility available this spring,” London said. “We were fortunate to have it Monday because of the poor weather we had on the first day of practice. Our players have commented as to what a tremendous facility it is and understand the commitment Virginia has made to its football program.”
