UVa Men's Golfers in 13th Place at Hootie @ Bulls Bay

Awendaw, S.C. – The Virginia men’s golf team was in 13th place when play was suspended Monday during the second round of the Hootie @ Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C. The tournament was pushed back to a Monday start when thunderstorms postposed Sunday’s opening round.
The second round will be completed Tuesday starting at 7:30 a.m. and the final round will start later in the morning using a shotgun start.
Virginia managed to finish both of its rounds and is in 13th place at 38-over 614. The Cavaliers had rounds of 315 and 299 in the extremely windy conditions.
Denny McCarthy led the Cavaliers with rounds of 75 and 73 for a 36-hole total of 148. He was tied for 13th place when play was suspended. Ji Soo Park was in 20th place at 150 with rounds of 77 and 73. David Pastore was 52nd at 156, Alex Lloyd was 71st at 161 and Mac McLaughlin was 73rd at 162.
LSU and Duke led the field among teams that had finished two rounds. The 15th-ranked Tigers shot 13-over 589, one stroke better than No. 11 Duke.
