CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior guard Joe Harris (Chelan, Wash.) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 2 first team, announced by the NABC Tuesday (March 26).

Harris becomes the seventh Cavalier to earn NABC All-District 2 first-team honors, joining Roger Mason, Jr. (2002), Travis Watson (2003), J.R. Reynolds (2007), Sean Singletary (2007-08), Sylven Landesberg (2010) and Mike Scott (2012).

The NABC All-District teams are voted on by member coaches of the NABC. All student-athletes on the all-district teams are eligible for NABC All-America honors. Harris, who earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-team honors, ranks fourth in the ACC in scoring at 16.4 points per game and ranked second in league play at 18.4 ppg. Harris has nine 20-point games this season, including a career-high 36 points vs. Duke on Feb. 28.

The Cavaliers (23-11) host Iowa in the NIT quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 27. Tipoff at John Paul Jones Arena is set for 7 p.m. The winner advances to the NIT semifinals against the Maryland at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday, April 2. Tipoff is slated for 9 p.m.
