Orange & Blue Team Rosters Get Acrobat Reader

Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia football team will hold its annual Orange-Blue Spring Scrimmage on Saturday, April 6 at Scott Stadium. The stadium’s gates open at 11 a.m. and the Fan Fest activities on the field and above the Hill are scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. The on-field activities are available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Spring Scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

The Spring Scrimmage will be webcast on ESPN3.

“I’m pleased with how our spring practices have gone thus far,” Virginia head coach Mike London said. “We’ve been hard at work implementing new systems on offense, defense, and special teams. The Spring game on April 6 will be a great test to see how far we have progressed toward our goal of becoming a smart, tough and aggressive football team.”

Authentic game-worn football jerseys and helmets will be on sale at a location above the Hill prior to the Spring Scrimmage. Jerseys from the 2006 to 2009 seasons will be on sale for $75 and a variety of bowl jerseys will be available in limited numbers for $150. Game-worn navy colored football helmets and white throwback helmets (from Virginia’s 2008 game against Richmond) will be available for $150. All jerseys and helmets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Methods of payment include cash and credit cards (no checks). An autographed Matt Schaub jersey will also be auctioned off. The jersey/helmet sale will take place behind the scoreboard at the open end of Scott Stadium and begins at 11 a.m. when gates at Scott Stadium open.

Promotional tables will be set up inside the stadium’s East and West Gates. Fans will have an opportunity to pick-up the 2013 football poster, schedule magnet, and a roster/autograph card. Raffle tickets will also be available for fans at each promotional table. Raffle prizes include 2013 season and single game tickets, a trip for two to a 2013 away game, a tailgate package to the opening game against BYU, and signed footballs.

A Select-A-Seat event will be held in conjunction with the Orange-Blue Spring Scrimmage Fans may visit the CavForce sales booths outside of Sections 106 and 124 for information on 2013 Virginia football season tickets. Seats in both the lower and upper levels will be tagged and new buyers will have the opportunity to select their 2013 seat locations starting at 11 a.m.

Concession stands and the Cavalier Team Shop merchandise locations inside the east and west gate at Scott Stadium locations will be open.

The 2013 spring award winners will be announced at halftime of the scrimmage. After the scrimmage the team will hold an autograph session for fans on the field.
