CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s lacrosse attacker Casey Bocklet (So., South Salem, N.Y.) was one of 48 student-athletes honored with a selection on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-America teams, being voted to the third team. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-America banquet on May 25, 2013 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.

Bocklet leads the Virginia attack with 64 points, scoring a team-best 43 goals and 21 assists. Bocklet was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List in the middle of the season. She was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse All-Tournament team after scoring a hat trick in the Cavaliers’ 10-7 victory over Duke in the quarterfinals and adding two more goals in the 13-9 semifinal loss to tournament-champion Maryland. She finished the tournament with a team-high seven points, also logging an assist in each game. She was also one of three Cavaliers to earn IWLCA All-South Region honors.

Bocklet is the 63rd different Cavalier to be named to an All-America team and it is the 105th time that a Virginia player has earned an All-America honor.

Virginia will take on North Carolina on Saturday, May 18 at 1 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C., in the quarterfinals of the 2013 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
