CHARLOTTESVILLE – The NCAA Champion Virginia men’s tennis team announced the addition of four players who will join the program this fall. The four blue-chip recruits form the No. 1 ranked class of 2013 by tennisrecruiting.net.

J.C. Aragone (Yorba Linda, Calif.), Luca Corinteli (Alexandria, Va.), Jordan Daigle (Lafayette, La.) and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) will join a Cavalier team that returns five players who competed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

“It is with great pride to officially announce the additions of J.C., Luca, Jordan and Thai to the UVa men’s tennis program this fall,” said head coach Brian Boland. “These four incoming first years make up what is undoubtedly one of our strongest classes ever at UVa and what tennisrecruiting.net has rated as the No. 1 recruiting class in all of college tennis. All four display the characteristics of competitiveness, work ethic, ambition and character, which are the cornerstones of our program. The future definitely looks bright for UVa men’s tennis with the addition of these four world-class young men.”

Aragone is currently ranked No. 14 in the tennisrecruiting.net list of 2013 prospects and has been as high as No. 10 in the class during his junior career. Earlier this year he reached the doubles final of the prestigious Easter Bowl tournament.

Corinteli is the No. 11 prospect in the class by tennisrecruiting.net and has been as high as No. 3 in the class of 2013. He has been ranked as high as No. 35 in the ITF junior world rankings and recently played in the junior championships at Roland Garros. Corinteli also reached the singles final of the Easter Bowl this year.

Daigle is the No. 10 recruit in the class of 2013 and has been ranked as high as No. 4 nationally by tennisrecruiting.net. Last year he competed in the qualifying draw of the US Open Junior Championships.

Kwiatkowski is the No. 1 ranked player in the 2013 class by tennisrecruiting.net and has been ranked as high as No. 13 in the ITF junior rankings. He has played in the main draw of three of the four junior grand slams, including a run to the round of 16 at 2012 Junior Wimbledon.
