MEDELLIN, Colombia – Incoming first-year Virginia sprinter Ana Holland (Aurora, Colo.) will compete this weekend at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Medellin, Colombia. Holland will run the 200m on Saturday and be part of the United States’ 4x100m relay team on Sunday.

Holland was rated the No. 1 overall women’s sprinter in high school in 2013. She won the U19 national championship in the 200m and was ranked No. 3 in the 100m and No. 1 in the 400m by www.milesplit.com and www.dyestat.com.

“I’m so excited for Ana to have the opportunity to wear the red, white, and blue this weekend,” said head coach Bryan Fetzer. “What an honor! She had a very special senior year in high school, so this is a great way to conclude it before putting on the orange and blue this upcoming year. I couldn’t be more excited to have her a part of our program for years to come.”
