OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – Four members of the Virginia men’s tennis team continued play Saturday at the Olympia Fields Invitational, the team’s first tournament of the fall. The Cavaliers posted one singles win on the second day of the clay court tournament.

Senior Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) won his first match of the day, downing Kevin Lai of Kentucky, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Later in the day he suffered a straight set loss to the No. 31 ranked player in the nation, Greg Andrews of Notre Dame. Virginia’s other three players, sophomores Jonathan Cornish (London, England) and Alex Scheinman (Los Angeles, Calif.), and first-year Jordan Daigle (Lafayette, La.) suffered losses in both their matches on the day.

The tournament concludes Sunday.
