Franklin, Tenn. – Senior Elizabeth Brightwell leads the field entering Sunday’s final round of play at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn. Brightwell shot 3-under 69 during Saturday’s play to own a two-shot lead after 36 holes of play.

Virginia moved up four spots on the leaderboard to eighth place thanks to a second-round score of 7-over 295. The Cavaliers’ two-day total stands at 17-over 593. UCLA tops the 15-team field at 3-under 573.

Brightwell was the 24th-ranked Cavaliers’ top finisher at the team’s season opening tournament at Texas A&M, posting a sixth-place effort. She opened the Mason Rudolph Championship with a 2-under 70 before shooting 69 during the second round. UCLA’a Erynne Lee and NC State’s Augusta James trail her by two shots.

UVa’s Portland Rosen is in 33rd place at 149 while Briana Mao, and Lauren Diaz-Yi are all tied for 51st place at 153. Lauren Coughlin is in 75th place at 156.
