Men's Cross Country to Compete at Notre Dame Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 24 Virginia men’s cross country team returns to action Friday as it competes at the 58th annual Notre Dame Invitational. The Cavaliers will run in the Blue Division of the meet, a five-mile race that starts at 5 p.m. at the Burke Golf Course on the Notre Dame campus.
Virginia is one of 28 schools competing in the Blue Division, including nine ranked in the current USTFCCCA top 30. Joining the Cavaliers in the race are No. 7 Tulsa, No. 9 Princeton, No. 16 Colorado State, No. 21 New Mexico, No. 22 Notre Dame, No. 26 Florida State, No. 29 Michigan and No. 30 Columbia.
The Cavaliers are coming off a third-place showing last week at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational. Sophomore Kyle King (Yorktown, Va.) led Virginia with a 10th-place finish in the meet. Redshirt-freshman Adam Visokay (Ruckersville, Va.) was 19th, senior Chris Foley (Chantilly, Va.) was 20th, junior Drew Paisley (Virginia Beach, Va.) was 23rd, and sophomore Zach Herriott (Kansas City, Mo.) was 29th to round out the scoring five for the Cavaliers.
After the Notre Dame Invitational, the Cavalier men will not compete again until the ACC Championships on Nov. 1 in Kernersville, N.C.
