Complete Draws

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The reigning NCAA Champion Virginia men’s tennis team will host its second and final home tournament of the fall this weekend with the UVa Fall Classic. The tournament will run Friday-Sunday at the Snyder Tennis Center, with play beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

The tournament features seven singles flights and seven doubles flights. Virginia is one of 21 schools to have players competing at this year’s tournament. Binghamton, Bucknell, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Cornell, East Tennessee State, George Mason, George Washington, James Madison, Liberty, Longwood, Norfolk State, Old Dominion, Penn State, Princeton, Radford, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and William & Mary will all send competitors to the event.

Six Cavaliers are scheduled to compete in the UVa Fall Classic. Sophomore Harrison Richmond (Pawleys Island, S.C.) is the top seed in the Blue Singles draw, senior Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) is the No. 2 seed in the Orange Singles draw, first-year J.C. Aragone (Yorba Linda, Calif.) is the No. 2 seed in the White Singles draw, and sophomore Jonathan Cornish is in the Gold Singles draw. In doubles, Richmond and Shane are the top seed in Blue Doubles, Aragone and Cornish are the No. 2 seed in Red Doubles and the team of sophomores Mitchell Polnet (Churchville, Pa.) and Alex Scheinman (Los Angeles, Calif.) are in the Gold Doubles draw.

Admission to the tournament is free.
