Chapel Hill, N.C. – The 27th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team improved on its first round score by seven strokes, but could not make up any ground on the leaderboard and finds itself in 16th place after two rounds at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. UVa’s 36-hole total stands at 19-over 595. Duke leads the field at 8-under 568.

Portland Rosen continues to lead the Cavaliers. She is in 10th place at 1-under 143 after shooting 1-over 73 Saturday. Briana Mao posted UVa’s best second-round score, shooting 1-under 71 to move up to 32nd at 147. Elizabeth Brightwell posted a second-round score of 74 to stand in 58th place at 151. Kaira Martin is 85th at 156 and Lauren Diaz-Yi is 88th at 157. , playing as an individual, is also tied for 85th at 156.

Clemson’s Ashlan Ramsey leads the field by three shots at 7-under 137.
