UVa Golfers in Seventh Place After 36 Holes at Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, N.C. – The 30th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team is tied for seventh place after 36 holes of play at The Landfall Tradition tournament taking place in Wilmington, N.C. The Cavaliers shot 20-over 308 during Saturday’s play for a two-day total of 614.

Alabama, ranked No. 10, continues to lead the field at 575 while No. 4 Duke is second at 583. The Crimson Tides’ Stephanie Meadow leads stroke play at 3-under 141.

Virginia senior Portland Rosen led the Cavaliers for the second straight round, shooting 4-over 76. She enters Sunday’s final round of play in 13th place at 5-over 149.

Lauren Coughlin shot 78 to finish the day in 33rd place at 154. Lauren Diaz-Yi and Briana Mao both posted rounds of 5-over 77. Diaz-Yi is 39th at 155 and Mao is 45th at 156. Elizabeth Brightwell is in 63rd place at 159. Evie Dole, playing as a non-scoring individual, is 89th at 169.

The final round will take place Sunday. Virginia will tee off starting at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring of the tournament is online at Golfstat.com.
