Opening Statement
I give a lot of credit to James Madison. They came out and played their style of ball. They were the aggressor. We got up early, but they came roaring back. They put a press on. We didn’t handle it. I am disappointed that we didn’t regroup and have that fight. We got pounded on the boards. That was the name of the game. Second chance points and we got pounded on the boards.

We were missing shots. Faith [Randolph], early on, she hit a couple, and then she got cold. We let one end of the floor affect the other end. That was the story all night long. Every time we made a run, then it was about rebounding or a loose ball or something. And JMU shot the ball well.

On playing in the loud environment of the Convocation Center
We didn’t handle much well tonight. We need to be able to regroup. We need to be able to win games on the road in this environment. ACC’s are going to be just like this. We have to be able to find a rhythm. We had no rhythm.

On JMU’s size advantage
They have great athleticism and good size, but I just thought they had a fight about them tonight. I thought that when things weren’t going our way, we lost what we need to be able to do. If we are playing match-up zone, we need to be able to rebound out of it. We didn’t hit anybody. We didn’t make them have to fight for rebounds. I thought it came pretty easy for them.

Junior center Sarah Imovbioh
I just felt like we didn’t come out with the right mentality on the boards. Obviously they came to play tonight on the boards. I felt like they were getting every rebound and were getting second chances. We couldn’t respond to that. I think that is what killed us tonight.
