CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–Virginia softball head coach Blake Miller announced today (Nov. 14) that Allison Davis, Alex Formby, Andie Formby, Lauren Heintzelman, Danni Ingraham and Brittany McNulla have all signed National Letters of Intent to join the Cavaliers for the 2015 season.

“We’re adding a lot of power to our lineup as well as three pitchers that will be very strong and provide depth for us,” Miller said. “We have quite a bit of speed right now, but it will be nice to add some power and create a line-up where it will be impossible to pitch around our big hitters. All of these young women come from programs that are in the hunt for national championships year in and year out. We’re looking for every single one of these recruits to step up and make a name for themselves here at the University of Virginia.”

“Allison is a multi-tool player who is both an excellent hitter and pitcher,” Miller said. “She can play anywhere from outfield to shortstop to in the circle. She really opens our depth and line-up options that are available when she’s in the game. Allison can hit for average and power while being able to steal bases just as easily, so that will give us availability to put her just about anywhere in the order.”
