GREENSBORO, N.C.—Virginia volleyball freshman Haley Kole was named to the ACC All-Academic Volleyball Team, the conference announced Thursday (Feb. 20).

A native of Tallahassee, Fla., Kole was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after recording 430 kills, the second-most for Virginia in 2013. Her 230 kills rank as the second-highest tally in UVa freshman history and 10th-most in UVa single season history. Kole’s 3.39 kills per set ranked as the fifth-highest mark on Virginia’s freshman list and was eighth in the ACC for 2013.

Kole recorded double-digit kills in 27 matches and had a season-high 23 in a win over Virginia Tech on Oct. 23. Kole also notched 89 digs and 55 blocks.
