Virginia Field Hockey Announces Spring Training Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia field hockey team will host four home events, including a pair of traditional scrimmages, as part of its 2014 spring training.
On Saturday, March 22, the Cavaliers will host William & Mary and Delaware. The three teams will play half games as well as 10-minute 7-on-7 scenarios with the event culminating with a shootout competition.
On Saturday, April 5, Virginia will hold another multi-team scrimmage with Kent State, Albany and Penn State all in attendance.
The Cavaliers will play in one mutli-team road event, playing short sessions against North Carolina, Old Dominion and Duke at Duke on Saturday, March 29.
The Cavaliers will also host two more traditional scrimmages, taking on American on Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. and James Madison on Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
All of the home events will take place at University Hall Turf Field. All events are open to the public with free admission.
