CHRISTIANSBURG, Va.—Five Virginia divers earned top-10 finishes on the final day of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships Wednesday (March 12) at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

On the men’s platform, junior JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) placed fourth with a total score of 682.95 (342.90 in prelims), while sophomore Carl Buergler (Arlington, Va.) was seventh with 625.45 points (311.50 in prelims). Fellow sophomore Jordan Sacks (Wilmette, Ill.) finished 10th with 573.80 points (281.65 in prelims) and classmate Colby Shinholser (Burtonsville, Md.) was right behind in 11th with 571.55 (280.80 in prelims).

In the women’s platform event, sophomore Becca Corbett (Louisville, Ky.) placed sixth with 477.75 points (236.10 in prelims), while fellow sophomore Katie Warburg (Wilton, Conn.) was eighth with 390.80 points (194.75 in prelims).

Based on his win on the 3-meter boards on Monday, Kolod will compete at the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Austin, Texas, March 27-29.
