ATHENS, Ga. – The NCAA Tournament quarterfinal match between Virginia and Baylor has been moved indoors due to rain in Athens. The match will now be played indoors, beginning at 1 p.m., at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex on the campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

The reigning NCAA Champion Cavaliers are making their 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA quarterfinals, the longest active streak in the nation. With a win Sunday, Virginia would advance to the semifinals for the fifth consecutive season and the seventh time in the past eight years.

Virginia advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-1 victory over 13th-seeded Notre Dame Friday in Athens. Baylor blanked 12th-seeded Illinois, 4-0, in its round of 16 match.

Virginia and Baylor met earlier this year on March 1, a 6-1 Cavalier victory indoors at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. Virginia has won the last six meetings in the series, including the only NCAA Tournament meeting (a 4-2 Cavalier victory in the 2008 quarterfinals in Tulsa, Okla.).

The Virginia-Baylor winner will play the USC-Texas winner in Monday’s semifinals. The championship match is scheduled for Tuesday in Athens.
