CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia field hockey alumnae Paige Selenski (Shavertown, Pa.) and Michelle Vittese (Cherry Hill, N.J.) will be among 18 players representing the United States at the 2014 at the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup, being held May 31-June 15 in the Hague, Netherlands.

This year ESPN3 will be carrying the entire men’s and women’s Field Hockey World Cup. Check out the links below to follow Team USA’s quest for gold.

Selenski (’12), a striker on the US squad, comes into the tournament with 99 caps. She will reach her landmark 100th in her first appearance in the tournament. Vittese (’12), a midfielder, currently has 96 caps and also should achieve the benchmark during the World Cup.

Currently ranked 10th in the world, Team USA holds ground in Pool B along with Argentina (World Ranked 2), England (World Ranked 3), Germany (World Ranked 6), China (World Ranked 7) and South Africa (World Ranked 11).

Selenski and Vittese were both members of the American squad that won gold at this year’s Champions Challenge in Glasgow, Scotland. Selenski and Vittese were also members of the U.S. National team that won gold at the 2011 Pan American Games and competed at the 2012 London Olympics.
