CHARLOTTESVILLE – Seven members of the Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete this week at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon. The meet will run June 11-14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, with coverage on ESPN3 and ESPNU as well as live results available on FlashResults.com.

The Cavalier men will have five athletes competing in the meet. Filip Mihaljevic (Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is the first Virginia male athlete to compete in two individual events at the meet in the same year, as he will compete both the shot put and discus. Thomas Porter (Fredericksburg, Va.) and Adam Visokay (Ruckersville, Va.) will run the 10000m and Kyle King (Yorktown, Va.) will compete in the 3000m steeplechase. Ryan Satchell(Central Islip, N.Y.) will compete in the triple jump.

Virginia will have two women competing in Eugene. Jen Flack (Alexandria, Va.) will run the 10000m and Dallas Rose(Pearland, Texas) will compete in the triple jump.

The meet begins Wednesday with three Cavaliers scheduled to compete. Mihaljevic opens the meet for Virginia with the men’s shot put beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. The opening day of the meet will conclude with the men’s 10000m final. Porter and Visokay will take the track for that event, which begins at 10:15 p.m. ET. ESPN3 will have online coverage of day one starting at 6:55 p.m. ET.

Two Cavaliers are in action on Thursday. King will run in the semifinals of the men’s 3000m steeplechase, beginning at 8:35 p.m. ET. The day concludes with Flack in the final of the women’s 10000m, beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET. ESPN3 will have online coverage of day two starting at 6:55 p.m. ET.

Virginia will have two competitors in field events on Friday. Rose will compete in the women’s triple jump, beginning at 6:25 p.m. ET. Mihaljevic will return to action with the men’s discus, which begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. Coverage of Friday’s events begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

The meet concludes on Saturday with coverage beginning on ESPNU at 5:00 p.m. ET. Satchell will compete in the men’s triple jump, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET. If King advances to the final of the men’s steeplechase, he would compete at 5:57 p.m. ET.
