CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-Virginia rising senior diver JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) qualified for the 2014 AT&T USA Diving National Championships in three events at the Preliminary Zone A Championships in Bethesda, Md. The national meet is scheduled for Aug. 12-17 in Knoxville, Tenn.

Kolod qualified in three events, the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards and the synchronized 3m boards along with Virginia Tech’s Ryan Hawkins.

In the 3-meter individual event, Kolod finished second with a score of 392.70, while on 1m, Kolod placed fourth with a mark of 351.50. Kolod and Hawkins won synchronized 3m event with a score of 385.65.

Rising junior Carl Buergler (Arlington, Va.) finaled on 3m, placing 13th with a score of 301.55.
