Six Virginia Games to Be Broadcast in 2014

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Six Virginia men’s soccer games will be broadcast either on television or through webcasts. The broadcast schedule includes a Sept. 21 home game against reigning national champion Notre Dame which will air on ESPNU.
UVa’s matches at Clemson (Oct. 17) and at home against Wake Forest (Oct. 24) each will air on the ACC’s regional sports networks. The game times for both contests have been slightly changed: the game at Clemson now is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start, while the Wake Forest match has been bumped to a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
The ACC’s regional sports networks include FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports Indiana, Sun Sports, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, NESN, YES, ROOT SPORTS and MSG. The RSN broadcasts also will be carried by ESPN3.
UVa’s matches at Pitt (Oct. 4) and North Carolina (Nov. 1) also will be broadcast by ESPN3. The Cavaliers’ contest at George Mason (Oct. 7) will be carried on NSCAATV.com.
Virginia also will announce its Cavaliers Live fall sports streaming schedule on VirginiaSports.com in the near future.
The Cavaliers report for fall training today and begin practice Wednesday, with their exhibition opener slated for 7 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 16) at home against Rutgers. Ranked No. 3 nationally in the preseason, UVa begins the 2014 regular season on Aug. 29 when it plays host to No. 25 Old Dominion in an 8 p.m. match.
