Complete Draws (with Friday times)

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team will open its fall schedule this weekend as it hosts the UVa Ranked+1 Invitational at the Snyder Tennis Center. The tournament runs Friday-Sunday (Sept. 19-21) and admission is free.

The tournament consists of several 16-player singles draws and eight-team doubles draws. All matches at the tournament will be played with no-ad scoring, with doubles consisting of an eight-game pro set and singles played in a best-of-three sets format. Friday’s play begins at 10 a.m. and will feature two rounds of doubles, followed by one round of singles. Saturday’s action starts at 9 a.m. with the final round of doubles, followed by two rounds of singles. The final round of singles will be on Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Virginia is one of nine schools to have players competing at this year’s tournament. East Tennessee State, Furman, George Washington, Louisville, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest will all send competitors to the event.

The Cavaliers will have four players in action at the UVa Ranked+1 Invitational. Junior Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) and sophomores Luca Corinteli (Alexandria, Va.) and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) will be joined by first-year Henrik Wiersholm (Kirkland, Wash.), who will make his collegiate debut.
