CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia volleyball team travels to Lynchburg Tuesday (Sept. 23) to face in-state foe Liberty at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live online on ESPN3.

Live statistics will be available through VirginiaSports.com. In addition to ESPN3, match video will be available online on the Big South Network.

Virginia (7-5) went 1-2 this past weekend (Sept. 19-20) at the VCU Invitational in Richmond, Virginia. The Cavaliers defeated East Tennessee State, 3-1, but fell to Ball State, 3-0, and VCU, 3-2.

Senior Tori Janowski (Sterling, Va.) was named to the all-tournament team and recorded a career-high six service aces against ETSU. Against VCU, senior Morgan Blair (Long Valley, N.J.) tallied a career-high nine blocks, while sophomore Karlie Suber (Mechanicsville, Va.) notched a career-high 18 digs.

Liberty (11-5) took two-of-three at the Bruin Classic in Nashville, Tennessee, last weekend (Sept. 19-20), defeating Wright State, 3-2, and Belmont, 3-1, after falling to Northern Kentucky, 3-1. Caroline Douglas leads the Flames with 3.95 kills per set.

Virginia leads the all-time series, 30-2, and has won the last 30 meetings, dating back to 1980. UVa captured the last meeting, 3-2, on Sept. 15, 2012. The Flames won the first two sets, before Virginia fought back.

Next up, the Cavaliers begin 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference play this weekend (Sept. 26-27) at Memorial Gymnasium. UVa hosts Clemson on Friday and Wake Forest on Saturday. Both matches are set for a 7 p.m. start.
