Sydney Umeri appeared in all 31 games last season for the Cavaliers, including 11 games in which she was in the starting lineup. She had her first double-digit scoring game at Liberty, putting up 12 points. Before coming to UVa, she won a gold medal with the 2011 USA Basketball’s U16 team at the FIBA Americas Championship in Mérida, Mexico and helped lead The Lovett School to a 2012 Georgia Region 6AA championship.
