CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s tennis program will host the UVa Fall Invite this weekend at Snyder Tennis Center. The seven-team event will run Friday-Sunday (Oct. 10-12) with play beginning each day at 9 a.m.

Arkansas, Marshall, Maryland, Northwestern, Old Dominion and South Carolina join host Virginia at this year’s three-day event. The tournament will consist of a pair of 16-player singles draws and two eight-team doubles draws. Friday’s schedule consists of one round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles. Saturday will feature two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Sunday’s play will feature the final round of singles.

Juniors Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.), Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas), Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.) and Skylar Morton (Bethesda, Md.), sophomore Marie Faure (Toulouse, France) and freshman Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.Va.) will participate in singles for Virginia. Elbaba is ranked No. 5 in the ITA preseason singles rankings, while Nauta is No. 32 and Epstein is No. 122. UVa doubles tandems for the weekend will be Elbaba-Morton, Nauta-Epstein and Faure-Mercer.

Admission for the UVa Fall Invite is FREE. Fans attending the tournament can park for free at the Culbreth Garage.
