Oct. 9, 2014 Charlottesville, Va. – The 22nd-ranked Virginia women’s golf team will compete this weekend at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The three-day tournament will run Friday through Sunday at the par-72, 6,379 yard Finley Golf Course

The 18-team field includes Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Florida, LSU, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi, North Carolina, NC State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rollins, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Tee times begin at 9:09 a.m. off the No. 1 tee and at 8:51 a.m. off the No. 10 tee on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a shotgun start at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Virginia’s lineup features sophomore Lauren Diaz-Yi (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), junior Lauren Coughlin (Chesapeake, Va.), Briana Mao (Folsom, Calif.), junior Elizabeth Szokol (Winnetka, Ill.) and freshman Lyberty Anderson (Chesterfield, Va). Sarah Kolodzik (Bellbrook, Ohio) will compete as an individual.

The Cavaliers will be paired with NC State and Wake Forest during the first round. Those teams will start at 9:09 a.m. from the No. 10 tee.
