CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia men’s swimming and diving program opens the 2014-15 season Friday afternoon (Oct. 24) when it hosts Navy at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Diving action is scheduled for 1:45 p.m., while swimming is set for a 4 p.m. start.
Admission to Virginia swimming and diving meets is free to the public. Public parking is available at Slaughter Recreation Center and the parking lot closest to the West Gate at Scott Stadium on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Cavaliers went 6-5 in dual-meet action in 2013-14, including a 212-88 win over the Midshipmen in Annapolis, Md., as UVa placed first in 14 of 16 events. UVa placed fourth at the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships and 26th at the NCAA Championships.
Navy is 2-1 on the season after posting a 151-138 win over UMBC on Oct. 15.
Both the Virginia men and women travel to University Park, Pa., next weekend (Nov. 7-8) for a double-dual meet against Penn State and Michigan. Friday’s action is set for a 6 p.m. start, while Saturday’s slate is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. The meet will serve as the season opener for UVa’s women.
