Qualifying Singles Draw Oct. 26, 2014

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Virginia women’s tennis All-American Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) recorded a singles win at a United States Tennis Association Pro Circuit event Sunday (Oct. 26).

Elbaba defeated Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-1, 6-4 in the first round of qualifying singles action at the $50K John Newcombe Women’s Pro Challenge in New Braunfels, Texas. Elbaba will meet Estonia’s Eva Paalma in the second round tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. ET.
