Bogota, Columbia – Former Virginia standout Steve Marino was the runner-up at last weekend’s Web.com Tour Colombia Championship in Bogota, Columbia. Marino finished at 17-under 267 but lost a two-hole playoff to Patrick Rodgers for medalist honors.

Marino had rounds of 67, 67, 64 and 69 on the Bogota Country Club course. His winnings totaled $86,400.

The 34-year-old Marino has been sidelined by injuries since early in 2012 and is attempting to regain his PGA Tour status. He has over $9 million in TOUR winnings.

Marino’s finish now has him ranked No. 3 on the Web.com Tours “The 25” list of players who will gain status to next year’s PGA Tour.

Former UVa All-American Ben Kohles also played in the tournament, finishing 31st a 6-under 278.
