CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team is seeded third for the 2015 ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which run Feb. 13-16 at the Midtown Tennis Club in Chicago. The Cavaliers have won the tournament, which features the top 16 teams in the nation, in five of the past seven years.

Virginia (5-0) will open play against 14th-seeded TCU (5-0) in the first round Friday at 10 a.m. (ET). Live scoring and video will be available on ITAtennis.com.

Sophomore Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) moved up to No. 1 in the latest ITA singles rankings, becoming the sixth Cavalier in history to reach the top spot. Junior Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.) moved up to a career-high No. 4 in the rankings and junior Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) is No. 61 this week. In doubles, Shane and Luca Corinteli (Alexandria, Va.) are No. 37 and Styslinger and Kwiatkowski are No. 41.

The Virginia-TCU winner will meet the Duke-Baylor winner in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The semifinals of the tournament will be Sunday with the championship match on Monday.
