CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-Virginia volleyball head coach Dennis Hohenshelt announced Thursday (Feb. 12) that Coral Kazaroff will join the Cavaliers in the fall of 2015.

Kazaroff, a 5-3 defensive specialist from Apex, N.C., was named to the All-Southwest Wake Athletic Conference First Team in 2013 and 2014 and is a three-time NCHSAA Scholar-Athlete and academic all-conference member. She helped lead Apex High School to two conference championships.

“We are very excited that Coral has chosen to further both her educational and athletic career at the University of Virginia,” Hohenshelt said. “She has had a fantastic senior season and has continued that outstanding play through the beginning of her club season. She is a very smooth defender and we really liked her touch as a passer. With the loss of Sydney (Shelton) and Abbey (Welborn), we expect her to come in and help our back row play immediately.”

The addition of Kazaroff brings the program’s incoming class to four, joining Harley Sebastian (Atlanta, Ga.), Anna Walsh (Grapevine, Texas) and Kat Young (Chantilly, Va.), who signed in the fall.
