CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 12 Virginia men’s tennis team concludes its road trip Tuesday as it visits No.1 Oklahoma. Match time in Norman is 6 p.m. ET and live scoring and video will be available on SoonerSports.com.

The Cavaliers are looking for their second all-time win against a top-ranked team. Virginia’s only previous win over a No. 1 opponent was a 4-3 victory over UCLA in the 2013 NCAA Tournament final.

Virginia (9-2) opened ACC play last week with a pair of road victories, downing No. 20 Wake Forest 5-2 and No. 31 NC State 7-0. Four Cavaliers are currently ranked nationally in singles, including the top two players in No. 1 Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) and No. 2 Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.).

The Sooners (13-1) are ranked No. 1 after winning the ITA National Team Indoor Championship last month. Oklahoma is coming off a 4-3 win at No. 8 Ohio State last week, a victory that snapped the Buckeyes’ 200-match home win streak.

Tuesday’s match marks the fourth time in the past five years the teams have met in the regular season. The Cavaliers won in Norman in 2011 and in Charlottesville in 2012 and 2013.

Virginia will return home Friday to host Clemson in its first home match in nearly two months. Match time is 3 p.m. and admission is free.
