CHARLOTTESVILLE – The ninth-ranked Virginia men’s tennis team will return to action this week with a pair of ACC road matches. The Cavaliers will visit No. 36 Notre Dame on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Boston College Sunday at noon.

Virginia (10-3, 3-0 ACC) is one of three undefeated teams in ACC play, along with Virginia Tech and North Carolina. The Cavaliers are coming off a 6-1 win over No. 62 Clemson last week in their Snyder Tennis Center debut. Virginia has won 127 consecutive matches against ACC competition (regular season and tournaments), the longest streak in the history of the conference in any sport.

The Fighting Irish (8-6, 1-2 ACC) is coming off a 4-3 loss to Texas Tech on Tuesday. Notre Dame has opened conference play with a win over Boston College and losses to Virginia Tech and Louisville. The Cavaliers and Fighting Irish played four times last year, with Virginia sweeping all four meetings, including a 4-1 in the NCAA Round of 16.

The Eagles (4-7, 0-2 ACC) are looking to snap a four-match losing streak as they host Georgia Tech on Friday and the Cavaliers Sunday. Virginia has won every meeting with Boston College since they entered in the ACC a decade ago.

There will be livestats and video of the Notre Dame match on Friday on und.com.

Next week the Cavaliers return home to host North Carolina on March 27 and Duke on March 29.
